Sooo alot has gone on.
SUNDAY: we all went to this super huge carasmatic church, with like ALL black people and it went from 12:00-2:00! And each song was dragged out for like 20minutes and there was a huge choir, it was great! I sat by Brendan and we had a good chat. He told me about how strict Wheaton is and how alot of his friends have to hide what they do cause they might get kicked out. But yeah it was good, I also found out he had a GF who is coming to visit him over spring break which is cute!. Haha. Then after that some of us with our prof Jon Silvis went out to lunch at a cute place off Atlantic Ave. I sat with Yer, KP, and Kelly, the portions of our food was HUGE, and I packed up my leftovers but then forgot to grab them… OOPS. then after that I went back to my room, and then straight to the studio because of our critique the next morning… I literally didn’t have much done at all so I kicked ass and put some shit together! Then Kelly and I took the subway home together and when we got back we ran to the grocery store and both got ice cream! I went to my room ad watched tv with Ashleigh, ate my ice cream and went to bed! Haha
MONDAY: we had critique!! I was super nervious! Mostly because I really feel like I don’t have deep meaning behind my work, and I don’t have an idea of what I want to go with.. But when my name got picked to be critiqued they for the most part liked the things I made but Julie (one of the profs) made a big deal about how I need to have meaning behind everything I use which bothers me alot but I kinda have to do what they want… But for the most part it was a good review and later I talked to Julie again and she told me she thinks I have a good start and I am on the right track and that everyone feels like a dork with the art they make at first… So that made me feel good. The rest of the day I had planned to get a ton of shit done, but it ended up not happening.. I walked by myself to american aparell, and passed a movie theatre, so i texted Krystine, Kristi, and Jaquie and told thm we should go see a movie. Kristi texted me back asking if I wanted to go to Christian Dior (because on of our profs wives ate our first meal together when we all first met and told kristi she worked for CD, and that she should stop by with friends.) sooo we kinda cleaned up and took the subway to the store, we got in and it was a little awkward because we didn’t know if she would remember us, but we asked for her and she was SOOO NICE! she gave us a tour of the store and let us touch stuff and play with the purses while she told us all the history behind certain products, then while we were upstairs looking through an amazing ring book she told us that they ate having a private trunk runway show and that we should come!!! We all freaked out and she took down our info and is going to email us!! FRICK. love my life. So then we walked back and talked about it like crazy and then went and saw “he’s just not that into you” which was good but depressing too a little… Then went to bed
TUESDAY: I got up and went to my first day of my internship! I was going to go to starbucks before but I would have been a little late if I went so I decided not to..next time I will. Sooo all frickin day long I stamped these different sized jewlery boxes with the DW logo… F my life. Then at lunch I went to the cutest little deli off fashion ave. for 30mins and then got back and went back to stamping… Oh and I can’t forget to inform you that the room we work in is literally 100degrees!! It’s soooooo hot!! And they like can’t regulate it for some reason sooo it sucks! I am totally wearing like a tanktop next time! So then before I left I had to go downstairs with Aida and do this inventory and it SUCKED! But I forgot to say that the best part of my day was that the people a floor above us work for HUE leggings and hosery stuff had a box of free stuff so I got some slippers and two pairs of different tights!! WOOO. I got to leave at 5:00 and made a really gross pastaroni for dinner and then left to go to my room.
RIGHT NOW: I am sitting in the basement waiting for my laundry to dry… And I worked out for a good 30minutes. It was nice but I am dead tired.
This weekend Megan is coming out to visit me and Jayme for my 21st!!! I’m super pumped! But that means I need to get artwork done before Friday! What the!!!
Maggie sent me a birthday package with some cool stuff in it like a vintage looking Madonna book, a TWILIGHT poster, and some peanut butter M&Ms and this gay movie haha. But I loved it. WOOOOOO I’m sad I’m not turning 21 in MN with my BFFs but Im happy Megan will be here to play with me!

Fashion event
So on Sunday night I went to this fashion benefit show in the lower east side off Avenue B!! It was at the frickin coolest bar I have ever seen called “China 1″ there was a line to get in and I felt stupid cause I didn’t see anyone from work yet. Then I got in and my name was on the list. I got downstairs and found Diana and Carson from work! I ordered a Mojito and we all talked for a while! Cool music played the whole time and there were like 3 different rooms and each had a little set up corner for the models to pose so people could look at the dresses and take pictures! When Ryan met up with us we went into another room and sat in this little corner couch thing with a canopy and pillows!!! I got a redbull and vodka and when Joanlie came me an her went to get some food! I got to meet a lot of diana friends and a guy who was on project runway, and the designer from Gossip Girls! It was so much fun! I topped off the night with a glass of red wine (open bar, I didn’t pay for any of these drinks!) and Ada and her friend came also. It was super fun!!!! I felt like a celebrity and on the way out we got gift bags with stuff by the brand Dollhouse. And then I had to take the J train home by myself a little tipsy still and I had to walk a ways to get to my room… A little sketch but I survived!!! I could totally live here if I could do things like this all the time!! OMG love my life!
Oh and also in other news. On Saturday we got to take the train to Beekin NY… and we went to the Dia museum which was the coolest one we have been to yet by far! They had the coolest andy Warhol stuff I have seen yet and they had Richard Serra’s GIANT metal structures that I had only seen pictures of before this! I literally ran through them freaking out they were so cool!! And they also had alot of work by Louis borgeouis, who is frickin crazy as well and I loved it! Me and kristi stuck together while walking around and it was a good time! Also what made that day such a good time was the train ride!!! It reminded me of the train from Amsterdam to Paris! I sat by Bethany and kristi on the way there and we talked the whole time. But on the way home I sat with Kelly and I ended up falling asleep for a good hour! I love the train!! Wish we could go on it more. Who knows if maybe the opportunity will come up again! Upstate Newyork is so pretty!!! It reminded me of Stillwater. The train was right along the Hudson river and it was beautiful! I miss MN! I literally am peeing my pants thinking about how I am going to freak out and party like it’s 1999 with all my besties when I return! OMG. time is flying by!!!
My very own FLEET WEEK
So today was probably the funnest most filled day I have had here so far!!!! I will start from the begining:
I woke up at 9:30 and went to workout, I read more of the 4th twilight book on the bike and thought about how I am going to make my fiancée take dance lessons with me. And then Bethany came to workout. I went back to my room and got dressed and ate a sandwich and watched some that 70s show! Then Bethany kristi and I went down to DUMBO to the last day of the antique market, I didn’t buy anything but i got a card of this amazing photographer!! And today the weather was so so soooo nice! We found this little park under the bridge that was super cute!! We walked around there and took some pictures. So then we got back to our rooms and then took off for QUEENS! I got a redbull and it put me in literally the best mood ever! I was for real high on life, we got to queens and walked down a sketchy street to get to starbucks where we all didn’t buy anything but we used the bathroom and then kristi flicked people off for honking at us and then we went to this super cheap super cute super small diner for lunch/dinner!!! It was so good! We talked about how we are glad we are friends here. Then we went to Michaels where I freaked out buying crafts! And then went to the dollar store and we all got ice cream and random crap! We took the long subway back to the studio this time and quick put our ice cream in the freezer. Printed off free admittion tickets to Webster hall and THENNNN went on the roof!!!!!! (tricia I am takinng you there) it was literally the coolest thing ever!!!! You can see so far and the weather was nice and we weren’t allowed to be up there and it was just sooo much fun! We then went back to st. George and walked past a party in the lounge so kristi and I went back! We got free I love you man cups and shirts and some posters and met this nerdy kid named Joel! Then I went back to my room watched some of Mulan and then we left for Webster hall!! So we had yet to get in there cause every time we tried something would go wrong, but so we get to the first stop on the subway and kristi realized she forgot her ID, so Bethany and I are like… Oh it’s cool let’s not go. But kristi swore we could still make it before 11 and get in free so we run back and then get to Webster hall around 10:45, we got to the end of this frickin long line and this guy comes up to us and is like.. Hey how are you getting in and we show him our passes and he is like, you won’t make it in free before 11… But you will now cause I’m puting you on my guest list! So he led us to a different line that was like WAYYY shorter!!! so we got in and it was super cool 4 floors! Lots of gross men who grab you an try to dance but we stuck together and pushed them away. Later in the night the top floor opened up and we dances up there and kristi and I saw in a corner a ton of frickin salors in uniforms and we freaked out! I made eye contact with one and he walked over to us and was just like “LETS DANCE” and sooooooooo I DANCED WITH A SAILOR! and it made me think of the sex and the city episode where there is “fleet week”!!!! LOVE MY LIFE!!!!

Oh and to top off the night Kiss by prince came on right as we were about to leave so we ran back in and freaked out to it ontop of tables and then Britney came on!!!!!!!!! (chris I wish you could have been there!)
Real world brooklyn//celeb sighting numero dos
So pretty much went to my internship today to find a locked door and an email 4 hours later saying that work was cancelled… BUT on the upside. I shopped around by myself which was great!!! I got a scarf, tshirt, and nailpolish from urban, chunky gold necklace from canal street, shirt from forever 21 and some art supplies from blick. And while wondering I ran into Chet and Scott from the real world!!!!!!!!!! I had a minor heart attack and a major tweak under pressure moment… The guy talking to them asked for me to take a pic for him. And then I asked him to take a picture for me. It was great but then all I said was thanks and ran away… I’m SO MAD AT MYSELF FOR NOT TALKING LONGER! for real, as I walked away I was like… Why didn’t I ask them about Brooklyn? F my life. But still cool I got a pic!!! Love it!!! Soooo celebrity sighting number 2… Not exactly celebs but they count in my book!
my computor clock is still on minnesota time
soooo i havent written in here in a while! right now i am sitting in my freind matts room waiting for krystine and jaquie to be done writting so we can go do something fun!!!! i went to this art show that was HUGE and on the pier, called “the Armory Show” it was great… but super overwhelming. i am wide awake now though and ready to go run around! i feel like i dont have anything super cool to talk about that i have done… everyday has been great. exept tuesday, at my internship, my boss was sooooo frickin cranky, getting mad at everyone for the littlest things, and i had to call people to ask for their emails… f that! ummm what else… i went to the coolest thai place next to NYU! it was cheap too! and super cute and sleek looking! i loved it.

Sex in the city
I oficially felt like Sara jessica Parker tonight… I wore a super 80′s oufit (high waisted black skirt with black tights and boots and a grey tank tucked in with a belt!) and I got a 9$ martini at this super swanky bar in East village off of avenue A! Love my life… The night didn’t go as planned at all but we still had fun, and danced in the bar instead of Webster hall… And I can make it two nights in a row that I witnessed someone peeing in the subway, SICK.
Cant believe that just happened
So I came down with a cold and I just slept for 17HOURS!! from 10:00lastnight till 3:00 today… I don’t know how I did it but I hope it helps my cold go away. Nothing is really new except for I got two dresses on sale at urban outfitters this weekend and wandered around soho. I feel gross now cause I just had a ton of pretzles and applesauce and peanutbutter m&ms! LOL

my birthday:
so on valentines day megan came out and met me at Grand Central Station, it was super great cause i chilled there by myself for a while and i felt like i was in harry potter because the food court looks like it could be in the movie. we met up and took the train to my room, we dropped stuff off and went on a walk down the promenade and took lots of pictures. we stumbled upon “dumptown” and this antique show with lots of cool vintage stuff and we both bought necklaces! frickin sweet stuff! then we walked back to the room and went on the computors to plan out our night.
stop #1: The Cafeteria, its supposedly a restaurant that celebs are at all the time, and my internship boss told me about, it was super shnazzy. and everything was expensive but super good! we sat in between two gay couples and one was super awkward, two very built large black men, holding hands under the table… great time! we then left the worst tip of my life because
a. the waiter didnt give us good service
b. we didnt get bread before our food, like everyone else around us.
c. we waited an hour for our table
d. we will never see those people again.
then we booked it out of there and took off to our next
destination#2: The hookah Cafe – the people there at first were sketchy because they were going to make us sit by the door which we were pissed about, but as soon as i told them it was my birthday they gave us lots of free stuff! and everyone working there loved us and danced around, and made us dance (the one who danced with me grabbed my hips a ton and was like…no do it like this!), and sang the greatest birthday song of my life! and gave us free baclava, and we got two hookah for 20$, when the prices were ONE HOOKAH for 30.00$.. frick! we stayed there for 2 hours and it was great!
destination #3: this bar i dont remember the name of, and a suprize stop by the Chelsea Hotel!!! love it! the bar was super sketch at first also, the boucer chased after us and made us show our ID and like didnt believe that it was my birthday! whatev, it ended up being a good time, lots of celebs come to that bar like collin farrell, and the boys from gossip girl who i dont know the names, and anne hathaway… super cool! we didnt see any because i guess since it was a holiday it was slow. but i ended up getting about 4 free shots called “t-bags” which tasted amazing, and i got hit on and asked out by this 30year old dolphin trainer… he bothered me so much!!!!! i wanted out!
this all ended by getting back to our room at 4:00AM!!!!

Weirdest dayyyy
So OMG I had to write now at 2:05am because I don’t want to forget my night… So this morning we had classes, same old same old… So then after classes were over we had a break untill 6:00 for another gallery opening, but me kristi brendan and krystin were like: “No way are we going to another gallery opening!!” so we planned out to go shopping in SOHO! woot woot! So I did some more artwork but not really… And then me and Jaquie came back to st George and I left with the peeps to go shopping! Brendan thinks he’s cool cause he knows his way around so he lead the way… Long story short kristi got pissed at him cause he had to catch a plane cause his gma died and he has the funeral so will be gone this weekend, but when we went in stores he was like: “well hurry up because I have to go” and we were like: “we have nowhere to be, you can leave!” haha. So we all ended up getting something and brendan took off… The stores closed at like 8:30 so we came back to our rooms where we found out everyone else was going to this free show out in this random part of town, so me Kelly kristi and Krystine took a weird train to this cool artsy people part of town and into this cute bar… And this band named “clayamation valasauraptors” were wearing these intesnse for real bear suits and singing and playing synth and guitar! I was PEEing my pants! They saying this song like “freaky aniversary” and they would say motherfucka super fast like after everyline and long story short again I said too loud “amanda totaly hates this” and I guess she heard me cause after that she was like “OMG THAT WAS SO GREAT!” OOOPPPSSS! so then after that was done we all started walking down the street and it’s kinds annoying with our whole group cause it’s too many to deal with so me kristi Bethany and Kelly went to this bubble tea place that was cheap and cute and we sat there untill 12:30 and talked about tons of stuff’ it was great and was playing great music! Me and kristi connected really well, we have alot in common and I love it! So then since everyone left us we decided to take the train home, long story short once more: I was talking about dying my hair and this cutie was like: “no you should stick with blonde” while we were getting onto the subway.. And we ended up talking, he kinda cornered me and I realized the other girls were sitting across from me laughing and watching, I didn’t learn this guys name but we talked about Minnesota and how I have an accent and how I must get alot of ass(??!???) and how I will love New York, and how I didn’t know where I was going and we have a cute little fight about how he didn’t believe that MOA was in MN, and I lived in the mountains, so while this guy was cornering me his friend was talking to my friends and later found out that he said the guy talking to me was addicted to meth… So apparently I got hit on by a meth addict… Didn’t look like one to me! LOVE IT! so we got super lost on this subway and forgot to get off on our stop, and the subway is just filled with drunk/weirdo people, it was soo weird!! We were having the best time people watching! This 19 year old black boy gave kristi a rose while we finally found our subway and then someone almost killed us because krisiti accidentaly put her foot on his bag and I was sitting across from him muttering “she didn’t even day sorry, that’s something my sister would do, and I would kick her ass! Little bitch!!” and I was freaking out cause no one else noticed!!!! But we got back safe and I am now in bed writing this… Love my life! Goodnight!
I thought he was cool at first..
So the past couple nights have been a blur! We finally had class and it is super boring. Our teacher is a creeper and looks like the phantom of the opera so yeahhhh. Went to some more gallerys but then Friday night Me, Jaquie, KP, and brent barky waiting in a line OUTSIDE from 6:30pm, to 7:00am to get SNL tickets… Don’t even ask me what we did cause I literally don’t remember, I fell asleep for probably about 15 minutes tops. But here is the real story, there is one guy infront of us.. His name is chris, he told us about how he does this EVERY WEEKEND! he has been to like 15 shows or something, but at first we were like, okay this guy is cool, but later he just turned out to be a huge creeper! He was quoting like every line from SNL, and I fake laughed cause I had no idea what he was talking about! He brought “reading material” as he called it and it was like an SNL booklet thing… And everytime we talked about a celeb or something he would whipp out his camera and be like…oh yeah?? And show a pic of him and the celeb. SOOO WEIRD/AWKWARD! and he remembered all of our names the whole night and used them frequently. But we also got to meet this cute like 80 year old man named Lewis who has been to 500 SNL shows, he came and sat in line with us just to give us the low down on what happens! I guess everyone in SNL knows him and now he just gets in because he is cool… Chris wants to be him… But chris is creepy and Lewis kicks ass. Either way I kinda felt like I was in another world because what adult is that frickin obsessed… I felt weird. But while we talked to lewis before it got late Bobbie Moynahan from SNL came out and met all of us ad said hi to lewis, and FRICKIN A, when I was in the bathroom Jimmy Phallen(?) came out and said hi… I’m pissed! But whatev so to make a long story short we picked to go to the 8:00 dress rehersal so we were numbers 1-4 so had a good chance of getting in! We got home at 8:00am and I was a rock alseep untill 1:00! And I woke up super hot and confused! Then i went down the road and picked up a really good slice of pizza, ate it in my room and watched the dog show! Haha then some of us just went to starbucks and read untill about 5:00. Me Jaquie and KP went back to the NBC studio and waited in line to see if our tickets got us in! It was super crazy with tons of people and frickin chris showed up eventhough he picked the live show so he didn’t have to be there untill 10… He had a paper with our names on it and asked us for our facebooks and I didn’t say a word.. WHAT A CREEPER! We just kinda told him we never use them and he was like okay okay! But WE GOT INTO SNL! and me and Jaquie got to sit together! The host was Bradly Porter! The mean one in wedding crashers with really pretty eyes and blonde hair. It was a good show and it was fun to watch them mess up and make us laugh about it! The studio is WAYYYYY smaller than it looks on TV. so weird! But I am IN LOVE with Andy Samberg, they had the funniest clip with T-pain “I’m on a boat” you should YouTube it!
Okay I need to get ready for church now, but I had to fill you in. Loved that so much!!!!!!!
